'Cool Tools' presentation from Seattle U's 'Future of News'

Thanks to everyone who turned out for my “Cool Tools” presentation at Seattle University’s “Future of News” conference. This was actually the first time I’d ever presented my journalism/new media skills to a group and I really appreciate everyone who asked questions, provided feedback and hung around afterward to chat.

The slides from my presentation have been posted online—I know that some of the bullet points probably require more explanation than what’s given, and I will provide that in future posts, so keep an eye on the site. I’ll also have more updates to this post later with notes, etc., so come back and visit.

In the meantime, it’s Saturday night and I’m headed out to the Ballard Art Walk. Thanks again, and have a good one.

  • Paul,

Nice meeting you today. I’m sorry I missed your presentation but thank you for posting these slides. I use many of these tools too but a few are new to me, so I’ll check them out and keep coming back here to learn more.

    Thanks again,

  • Good meeting you, too, Mark.

If there’s anything new to you that you want me to elaborate on, DM me or drop a comment and I’ll post something new.

Thanks for checking out the site.
