Good news, Google nerds: The +1 button is now available for everyone.
I have to ask, though: At what point do we just have too many buttons?
Facebook’s Like buttons are everywhere, so are Twitter buttons and Tumblr’s in the game now, too. This is of course to say nothing of the dozens (hundreds?) of other buttons available like StumbleUpon, Digg, et al.
I’m a little torn on what buttons to use. My natural inclination is to use the “big” buttons — Google, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr — because those are the places I’m at. But I also want to tailor my site toward its visitors as much as possible.
What would you prefer on any site, as a user and a web publisher: Lots of buttons, or one “use ’em all” button that pops up a menu of options?
