If you are an undergrad journalism major, good news! I’m looking for an intern to work with me on KIRO 7 Eyewitness News’ website and social media platforms. Here’s the official description:
The KIRO 7 webstaff is looking for a student who knows how to write a punchy headline and web story that will get people talking, and who knows how to stimulate a good discussion on Facebook and Twitter. The person we’re looking for will work with web producers to write for the web, corral content during breaking news situations, help us find quality web stories, create shareable posts on our social media accounts and help analyze raw social media data. Candidates should be able to write concisely and accurately on a tight deadline, and be able to edit. Experience with Facebook Pages, Twitter and online research is a must. Familiarity with SEO and HTML is very helpful. Must learn quickly and follow directions.
The internship runs from July through September.
